An Amendment to the Health and Safety Provision of the CLC That Deals with Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention in the Workplace
Under Bill C65, (which is an important amendment to the Health and Safety provision of the Canada Labour Code) all federally regulated employees must receive training on preventing workplace harassment and violence. This course is intended to meet federal requirements and ensure your staff are fully equipped to recognize, prevent, and respond to harassment and violence. They'll learn about their rights and responsibilities, as well as their role in creating a workplace free from violence and harassment. This training was to have been received before December 31st, 2021 and needs to be redone every third year. Failure to provide such training can result of a fine for every item and every day of delay up to a maximum of $250,000.00
